After a hectic and exciting summer program schedule, Governor’s Square Branch, like others in the Montgomery Public Library system, is using the end of July and the month of August to plan and recharge.

Children’s librarians from across the county will converge on Governor’s Square Library’s meeting room Wednesday to share potluck homemade snacks and ideas for enjoyable and educational programs for the new school year ahead.

You can look for programming to get back into full swing after Labor Day.

Governor’s Square does not have any formal storytime programs planned until after Labor Day, but we would be glad to create a special program just for your school or daycare. We can share games and stories to build enjoyment and skills for literacy and library use, both at your facility or here in the branch. Please call 284-7929 if you would like to set something up.

Meanwhile, please give us a call to request any program or subject matter for any group. Whether you are or work with teens, senior citizens, toddlers, school aged children, parents, jobseekers, gardeners– the list of programs and resources we can offer is limited only by the interests and needs of our community. Interested in something specific? Would your business like to give a free presentation or sponsor snacks, gifts, books, or other donations for programs at Governor’s Square Branch?

Please call Kim Wilson Owen at 334-284-7929 to suggest or request a program or offer to sponsor or present.
