Sometimes we love the books and sometimes– not so much. But we always have a great discussion at the Governor’s Square Book Club. Through the school year, we meet the second Saturday of each month, at 11 am.
This month we are meeting Saturday morning, May 10, at 11 am. Members bring delicious snacks to share. The discussion always leaves us with more insight– into our chosen title and into our community, interests and issues–than we had when we arrived.
The Sound and the Fury may be a particularly tough nut to crack. I wonder if the person who nominated it will show up to the meeting? I saw her and guilted her a little this week. But I’ve found some good things on Montgomery Public Library’s Literature Resource Center. I’m sure we’ll muddle through and have a great time regardless!
Our hours change to Monday through Friday 9am-6pm in the summer. If you are interested in joining the book group and meeting this summer, please join us Saturday May 10 at 11 am, or call Kim Wilson Owen at 284-7929.
